TransRockies announces new running event in the epic Canadian Rockies

We’re really excited to announce a new trail running event for 2011 to be held in the TransRockies organization’s backyard of the Alberta Rockies. Rundle’s Revenge is s brand-new epic endurance event this summer whihc will be held at Canmore Nordic Centre, home of the 1988 Winter Olympics. Located right on the edge of Banff National Park, Rundles’ Revenge will be held in some of the most rugged and spectacular scenery in the World!

Rundle’s Revenge will combine mountain bike enduro and trail running into a single weekend. Participants can enter a single event or the combined event. In addition, each event offers a timed team relay competition made up of 2-5 people. Distances are 50km or 100km for the bike, and 25km or 50km for the trail run.

The unique two-day mountain bike and trail running event will be held on the weekend of June 25th and 26th. The Canmore Nordic Centre’s world-class infrastructure, rugged beauty and a superb trail system make it the perfect place to for endurance events.
